Room Size: Cozy, but snug.

I had a wonderful stay at Gypsy Palace in a charming little cottage. The welcome pack of milk, honey, jam, tea, and coffee was a lovely touch. I enjoyed the peacefulness of the location, being just minutes away from the village green and The Border pub. It truly felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend this unique and cozy place in the Scottish Borders.

The bathroom with a shower was a total game-changer! It made our morning routines a breeze. As a family with kids, we appreciated the convenience and efficient use of space. We loved how everything was clean and organized, giving us a stress-free start to the day.
Personally, we didn't find the bathroom lighting to be very flattering. But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?

The location was mind-blowing, with breathtaking views and fantastic local walks. The nearby pub served super food, and the cottage had loads of character and history. The welcome gifts of wine and shortbread were such a nice touch, as was the complimentary whisky. The Now TV facilities were a great addition for cozy evenings in. Even though the weather was too warm, I could imagine the woodburner creating a jaw-dropping atmosphere in winter. The overall atmosphere and facilities provided a true home away from home experience. The bikes, fully equipped kitchen, and laundry facilities were a great bonus. The residents of the nearby villages were incredibly welcoming. And let's not forget the free Wi-Fi, free parking, electric kettle, dryer, cookware, and flat-screen TV. Plus, being pet-friendly was a win for both doggy and non-doggy families. Highly recommended!

Escape to Tranquility: We loved the blissfully quiet and relaxing atmosphere of this quaint little cottage. It was located on a very quiet lane, allowing us to truly escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Just a short walk away, we found ourselves on the village green and enjoyed the excellent food at a nearby pub.
Bedroom Comfort: Unfortunately, we found the deep memory foam mattress on the double bed to be very uncomfortable. It was a matter of personal preference, but it did affect our ability to have a restful sleep and fully enjoy our romantic escape.

The location of this hotel is excellent, with easy access to the beautiful Scottish Borders. The atmosphere of the hotel is very welcoming and peaceful. The facilities provided were top-notch, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities available for use. Additionally, the inclusion of wine and shortbreads as a welcome gift was a lovely touch.
One downside of this hotel is the lack of luxury amenities. For those expecting a high level of luxury, this may not be the right choice.

The bathroom at Gypsy Palace was cozy and felt like my own personal oasis. I loved the refreshing shower that helped me relax after a long day of exploring. It really made me feel at home during my stay.
The shower curtain was a bit clingy, but that's just my personal preference. Others might not mind it.
